The due date is calculated per cylinder from its manufacture or last test date and the retest interval applicable under the Gas Cylinders Rules administered by PESO. Cylinders that are due or overdue are blocked at the filling carousel.

Manufacturing lot, valve lot and test history are held on the cylinder master. When a lot has to be recalled, the system lists every affected cylinder with its current custody, so holders can be contacted the same day.
A pilot covering one filling carousel and one distribution territory is typically live within eight to twelve weeks of requirement sign-off. The full tagging programme runs alongside rollout and depends on float size.
Support runs under an annual maintenance contract covering defined response times by severity, maintenance of readers, portals and marking equipment, replacement of damaged tags, software updates, and training for new distributor staff.
